Meissen Saucer with Watteau Scene 1740-1745
A Nicely Painted Saucer with Watteau Scene within a Patterned Gilt Border. The Underside has Painted Klinger Bugs and Flowers, (the shadow affect on the Flowers and Bugs) was first painted by Johann Gottfried Klinger who worked for Meissen from 1726-1746. Has the Meissen Cross Swords, Impressed and Gilders Mark on the Inner Base Rim.
Size: 13cm wide.
