Meissen Porcelain Bottger, Gilt Cup & Saucer, Circa 1720
Meissen Bottger Cup and Saucer decorated with embossed acanthus leaves, partly gilt, hemispherical cup made of Böttger porcelain. The head has a slightly outstanding mouth edge. A frieze of raised acanthus leaves runs around the base of the head, the veins of which are painted in gold. The rest of the wall of the head is painted in gold with a frieze of band and leaf work. The foot ring and the inside are gold-plated. Gilt F to the bases. (Attached are more photos from this set)
