A Fine Chelsea Octagonal Deep Soup Plate Dating from around 1752 beautifully decorated in the Japanese Kakiemon palette with a Ho Ho bird perched high up on a holed blue rock between sprays of flowering peony that issue on each side, an iron red Pheonix bird in flight overhead, within a border of scrolling iron red foliage and stylised red and gold mons. Has Red Anchor to the Base.
