Ansbach Porcelain Soup Plate with "Ansbacher Muster " Pattern, 1765 RARE
An Ansbacher Muster Soup Plate from Ansbach, A Rare Plate thats was made for the Elite and one of Germanys Refined Patterns. The Pattern was created in the Early Years of the Ansbach possibly for Margrave Ansbach that owned the Factory ( A photo of a Centre Piece is attached that is thought to have been at the Castle)... Around this time Johann Friedrich Kandler was Director of the Company (cousin of the Famous Meissen Moddler Johann Joachim Kandler)..These Pieces are Normally Found in Museums (attached are a few photos of the Pattern)
As for the attached Soup Plate it has the Usual Finely Painted Purple Camaieu Lanscapes and River Scenses within Moulded Cartouches. The Centre has Scattered Flowers, all within an Ozier Border. The Base has the A FactoryMark and an Impressed I.
Size: 23cm wide x 5cm high
Condition: Slight restoration to the base rim, Gilt Worn and two small pits on the underside
