A Pair of Meissen Pilgrims, Modelled as Travellers Wearing Scallop Shells that have been a Symbol of the Camino de Santiago One of the most famous Pilgrimages in Europe, (the Grooves in the shell represent the various routes that eventually arrive at a Single Destination). Made around 1755 and Modelled by P. Reinicke. Both have the Cross Swords to the Rear and have impressed single numbers to the base.
