Meissen Porcelain Gotzkowsky Dinner Plate with Leopard Circa 1745

A Rare Dinner Plate from around 1745. Has a bit of everything, birds flowers, fruit and a Leopard with palm tree. A Leopard appearing on an early Meissen plate is quite rare. The Moulded pattern known as 'Gotzkowsky' it was the name of Johann Ernst Gotzkowsky an Entreprenuer that had Various Bussiness's and was also a Banker in Berlin in the Mid 1700's. He was one of the first Businessmen to commission a Table Service from the Meissen Factory. Even though the Pattern was Modelled much earlier the Moulded Pattern gets it's name from Johann Ernst Gotzkowsky. Has the Blue Cross Swords, number 22 and Christies label to the base.
