A Meissen Hausmaler cup and saucer, c.1740, applied with three sprigs of flowering prunus and painted probably in the workshop of F F Meyer, Pressnitz, the saucer with travellers conversing on the bank of a river with buildings and a mountain in the distance, the cup with figures in a continuous landscape scene, the rims with a gilt strapwork border, blue crossed swords marks, 13.5cm.
