Meissen Boettger Porcelain Blanc de Chine Tea Bowl & Saucer 1713-15.
An Extremely Rare Boettger Tea Bowl and Saucer Dating from around 1713-1715. The Saucer has Rose buds and Leaves known as the 'Rosen- Laub' Pattern The Tea Bowl has Moulded Grapevines. Other Examples of the Pieces can be found in the Kathy Gillmeister Collection, Crocker Art Museum, Sacramento, California. Both Pieces are Unmarked apart from what Appears to be a Drehers Mark to the inside Base Rim of the Saucer. This is a Marriage (hence the price)... Where will You Find Another!
Size: Tea Bowl 4cm high x 8cm wide. Saucer 2cm high x 13cm wide.
Condition: Old Signs of Restoration to the rim of Tea Bowl (yellow stains, see photos), Minor flea bite on the saucer |
