A Quail Pattern Coffee Pot in Octagonal Form from the Meissen Factory. Painted with the Popular Quail Pattern amongst Kakiemon Flowers and Brown Painted Rims. The Handle has a nicely painted Branch with Flowers. This would be one of the Earliest Examples of the Pattern Made by a European Factory. Comes with the Original Lid. Has the Early Cross Swords to the Base. A Very Rare Pot (Try and Find Another).
The Kakiemon Pattern was given the name after a Japanese Potter and Artist (Sakaida Kakiemon) perfected the Pattern and one of the first to discover the secret enamel deoration on Porcelain. Then Eventually Copied by European Factories....
