Meissen Porcelain Woodcut Floral Tureen & Tray, circa 1745
A Nicely Painted Tureen and Tray by Meissen with Woodcut Flowers within an Ozier Moulded Rim. The Handles are Moulded Stems with Encrusted Flowers, the Lid Finial is in the form of a Sliced Lemon. The Tureen has an Unglazed Base with faint blue mark, the Tray has a glazed base with cross swords and impressed number.
Size: Tray 37cm long x 30cm wide, Tureen 34.9cm long
Condition: small chip on finial and lid , small area of restoration to lid rim.. minor nibbles on encrusted flowers
