A Derby Model of a Pug Circa 1820
Naturalistically modelled seated on its haunches facing left, with pale-brown coat, wearing gilt collar, on a green mound above shaped rectangular gilt-line base on ball feet. A Very Similar One is Shown in a Book Called " Dog Models and Their Factories of Origin". (see photos)..... This is a VERY RARE figure... Try and find another on Ball Feet Condition: Minor wear to the gilding.
